The title says it all. This toy is great for your rough and tumbled dog who thrives on destruction. In its initial stage you start off with something fluffy, floppy, and heavy. The perfect companion for a dog who likes to shake the tar out of things; and the added weight might even help tire your dog out too.
The next stage comes when your dog has successfully eviscerated this beloved childhood character. In a delightfully twisted turn of events, they get a cookie. A nice thick rubber cookie that your dog may or may not be able to successfully squeak (I'll take durability over sound anyday).
The last stage comes when your dog remembers there's still a little bit of destroying left to do. Once your dog has successfully ripped off cooking monster face; everyone is greeted with a still smiling cookie monster. The cookie monster head is still durable but a little bit easier for your dog to squeak.
In the end you should be left with 2, possibly even 3 toys depending on how long you let them play with the skin.
I hope my colorful review has conveyed just how much I love this toy. I've had the rubber core toys in the past but they haven't really interested my dogs that much. Cookie monster I guess just seems to have more of a prey feel to it.
I sincerely hope BarkBox intends to make more 2 piece rubber core toys in the future.
