Food of Love Lute

gave this as a gift to my cousin's Labrador and he has LOVED chasing it around their backyard !

My Siberian husky absolutely adores the food of love lute! She is defiantly considered a super chewer, but this moderately heavy toy will be around for some time to come!

Seriously Heavy toy actually! I like this new idea of my dog getting both a jaw and a neck workout in one!

My dog loved this toy when we first got it but she has chewed off the rubber flaps and now it is too easy to get the treats out. The toy is heavy but that didn't bother her at all.

The weight of this toy was awkward, super heave yet didn’t hold the treats in well. My pup was able to chew the flaps off that hold the treats in within a few minutes. The opening was then too wide, and I couldn’t stuff and freeze it later because there isn’t a big enough air hole on the backside. Dangerous for pups, can cause a suction that cases their noses to get stuck.

Sadly disappointed with this treat dispenser. Barkshop really needs to list the interior capacity of their treat dispensers on the store page. We have the Meghan's Mug of Cocoa and it holds almost 1 cup of food, so we use it as a feeding bowl. I asked customer service how the Lute compared to the Mug of Cocoa and was told that capacity was about the same or slightly smaller. Even though the overall outer size is quite large, the lute holds barely 1/4 cup of kibble, so I cannot use it as a fun feeder for doggy dinner. Instead of having an open interior, the Lute is nearly solid rubber with just a tiny holding area on the inside. This also makes it so heavy that my dog can't even flip it over, so it's totally useless. If the whole inside of the Lute was open, it would have definitely held as much at the Mug. Wish I could have known how much food this item would hold before wasting money on it. Thumbs down.
