Happy BarkDay Postcard

After reading reviews, I added one of these to my cart of assorted toys because why not. Right out of the box, Kona loved it! She is on the bigger side (55 lbs) and the small is actually perfect for her because she really appreciates small toys that fit in her mouth (think snowballs from the bucket of snow balls, or “duck” inside the platypus toy). She played with it non stop after giving it to her so much that she popped the squeaker (no damage to the exterior of the toy though). Who knew such a simple toy would be so entertaining !!

I have two golden retrievers and they worship this toy! I only added it to my order because of the reviews. Originally I thought people were crazy for rating this so highly, it's just a rectangular shaped toy with a squeaker. Well I am glad I did. They play keep away with it all the time, and my one girl carries it with her to bed😊

I gave this, and several other bark shop birthday theme toys, to my Bruce for his 1st birthday. He loved the big grunt squeaker, and it worked well for both fetch and tugs.

This is one of few toys (store bought or Barkbox) that has survived more than a week’s daily play (beating) and it’s still going strong—that’s what I call a MIRACLE! My 70-lbs Old English Sheepdog is obsessed with squeaker toys, but he breaks most squeakers in about 5-10 minutes, which makes it extremely frustrating for us and him.

This toy does not have stuffing, so 1) it’s more environmentally friendly, and 2) my dog doesn’t try to pull the stuffing out and eat it—I know, not smart! The linen/cotton (like) fabric is stuff and natural.

Wish there were more toys like this. We were Barkbox subscriber for 3+ years. Finally we quit because the toys only lasted minutes, and the dog didn’t care for chewer’s club type of nylon/rubber toys. Why create more waste?

This is only perfect for our dog but not a good fit for dogs looking for stuffing.

Hopefully Barkbox will make more environmentally friendly toys in the future.

This arrived too late for Onyx’s birthday, so I’m saving it for Amber’s. I know that she will love it.
