I don't think I've ever been so disappointed in a dog toy
I WANTED to love this toy, just like others we've bought from Bark. This was SUPPOSED to be an extra special pool toy for our dog, Vandal. She had been waiting SEVERAL WEEKS for a chance to play with it. Finally, some warm warm days rolled around, and boy, was she stoked to see the tags come off this guy. I WAS excited it was "natural rubber, said super chewer durability and it floats." I was HOPING my original hesitation when I held the actual toy in my hand was just me being silly. After all, it was suppose to be rubber.
The SILLY THING IS WAS I ASSUMED it was maybe like, solid rubber or at least thick rubber... NOPE, its ridiculously squishy, thin rubber. But I HOPED I was just underestimating ths dang toy.
About 10 throws into our first use of the squid, (probably not even 10 throws) into the pool and ....what have we got?....decent punctures to the rubber. Vandal hadn't even tried to chomp it like that, she was merely fetching the thing. After the punctures, you could hear it sucking air in and out of it.
So the next thing I HOPED for after that disappointment finally settled, was that it would float regardless of any punctures or any peices that should eventually tear off the thing. I FIGURED worst case scenario and the LEAST the toy should do would be float no matter . ... WHEN IT SUNK, I couldn't get Vandal out of the pool to save my life without getting the pool net to retreive it from the deep end ( all while she swam tight circles panicking above it. )…
